On october 10th 1957, After returning from the service in Indian armed forces as a chemist, Late Mr V K Lonappan started then 'V K lonappan and sons' in Nair Angady, a depot of fertilizers and pesticides. It grew steadly along the years, winning the award for top sales in kerala by FACT from M.K.K Nair during 1961 and 1962.
Veluthukaran Agencies was started in 1992, expanding to a new four storied building in Erinjery Angady, starting the whole sale distribution for pesticides and other agrochemicals. Veluthukaran Agencie's Garden Centre was later opened keeping in mind for a retail shop which will cater the need of a wide range of customers in the area of agiculture and gardening.
